Hobbes Hooded Jacket
The Hobbes Hooded Jacket is an intermediate level jacket pattern, but is also suitable for an adventurous beginner who is looking to spend a little extra time to expand their skill set.
The jacket uses two separating zippers: one for the front closure and one in the neckline so the hood is completely removable. The sleeves are pieced and have pleats at the elbow to allow for plenty of movement. The front and back are also pieced and there are in-seam pockets on the front with a faux welt. The three-piece hood is fully lined and there is a built-in knit collar to keep the neck warm. The jacket is fully lined and has facings for a professional finish. The shaped cuffs have a faux-vent cover and separate knit cuffs inside the sleeves to keep out the cold.
The Hobbes Jacket is drafted for boys, but works great for girls as well - just be sure to check her measurements against the size chart.
